Sussex Police Authority is constantly striving towards continuous improvement. In a bid to facilitate this improvement the Authority has arranged a training session of the Standards Committee.

The Standards Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct by members of the Police Authority and assists Members to observe the Authority's Code of Conduct. The committee advises the Police Authority on any adoption or revision of local Codes of Conduct and monitors and advises the Police Authority on the effective implementation of the Code.

The training session, being held this Thursday, is open to all Members of the Authority and has been designed by Mr. Mike Kendall, a former County Secretary and Monitoring Officer for West Sussex County Council and former member of the Standards Board for England.
