Dr Roma Walker
Independent Member

Dr Roma Walker works for an independent criminal justice consultancy with particular focus upon the penal system and the voluntary sector. She has a Masters in Criminal Justice and a Ph.D in criminology. Roma has worked for the Council of Europe as a short term expert on the development of the Turkish penal system and as penal affairs advisor to the High Sheriff of Greater London. She has a number of publications relating to penal issues, is a former magistrate and also finds time for playing tennis, reading, food, entertaining and the arts. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She has two sons.
