Mr Peter Evans
Councillor Member
Peter Evans is married with two children and has lived in Ferring since 1979. He has been employed for more than 30 years in the insurance industry, and currently works as a consultant.
Peter was appointed to the Authority in July 2009 and is the lead member for Partnership Working, HR and Training. This important strategic role is helping to realise the Authority's vision of working better with partners across the public and private sector to deliver even greater value for money in these difficult financial times for the public sector. This energy is essential in order to maximise the resources available for frontline service delivery for the residents and businesses of Sussex.
Peter has been a member of Ferring Parish Council since 1999, is Chairman of the Ferring Conservative Association, Chairman of East Preston Neighbourhood Youth Club and the Ferring Youth Club, a school governor at Ferring CE Primary School and a transition governor for the Littlehampton Academy. Peter is the West Sussex Cabinet Member for Public Protection.
His interests include reading, hill walking and cycling.
