Mr Peter Bratton

Former headmaster of Hove Park School, Peter Bratton, who now lives in Itchenor, taught in Leeds, Hull and Kettering, before being appointed head of an inner-city comprehensive in Nottingham. Following his retirement from Hove Park he became an Ofsted inspector in secondary schools and an educational consultant.
He is married with two sons and two grandchildren and is a West Itchenor parish councillor, a committee member of the Itchenor Society and a volunteer with his local branch of the RNLI. His social interests revolve particularly around the Chichester Harbour and the near reaches of the Solent where he enjoys elementary sailing.
Peter joined Sussex Police Authority on 1 April 2007.
