Stephanie grew up in Lewes before moving to London to read English at University College London in 2008.  She was awarded a 2:1 and the following year received a Master's degree with Distinction in Literature and Modernity from the University of Edinburgh.  In 2010 she moved to Paris to live, work and study for a year and while there learned to speak French to a high level.  Stephanie comes from an artistic background having worked at a major London theatre and a publishing house. She has also written on drama and opera for a leading European arts journal.

Having worked at Sussex Police Authority during the summer of 2009, Stephanie returned in January 2012 to assist with the Transition Programme and the introduction of Police and Crime Commissioners.  She has responsibilities around Media Relations and Change Management, in particular press and public relations and events management.
