Richard Hornby grew up in Sussex and has lived here since 1979. He read Theology at Canterbury before training and qualifying as an accountant with East Sussex County Council. He was appointed Treasurer in April 2009 and is also Finance Director at West Sussex County Council. Richard has worked in the private sector as well as for the London Boroughs of Westminster and Croydon. He joined the Police Authority from Lambeth Council where he was Divisional Director for Housing, Regeneration and Environment. He lives in Brighton with his family.
