Graham attended the University of Brighton, where he studied Business Studies and achieved a BA Hons degree, with a 2:1 classification.

After graduating in 2008, Graham started work with Sussex Police, where he was employed as the Human Resources Performance Analyst for 2 and a half years.

Graham joined Sussex Police Authority in April 2011, and his responsibilities include, overseeing the Protective Services Scrutiny Committee, and developing the Performance/Management Information.
