HMIC (Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary)
Her Majesty's Inspectors of Constabulary are charged with examining and improving the efficiency of the Police Service in England and Wales.

The Audit Commission
The Audit Commission is an independent watchdog, driving economy, efficiency and effectiveness in local public services to deliver better outcomes for everyone.

IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission)
The IPCC makes sure that complaints against the police are dealt with effectively.

ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers)
Chief officers of all police forces strive to deliver effective policing at local, regional and national levels. ACPO is a voluntary association of chief officers bringing together their experience and expertise to help achieve those aims on behalf of the public.

National Criminal Justice Board
The National Criminal Justice Board is responsible for supporting local boards to bring more offences to justice and to improve public confidence.

APA (Association of Police Authorities)
The Association of Police Authorities represents police authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, it influences policy on policing and it supports local police authorities in their important role.

NPIA (National Policing Improvement Agency)
The NPIA provides a large and diverse portfolio of products and services designed to support the police service and wider policing family.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue
The Fire Service provides fire & rescue services to the whole community of East Sussex, covering an area of 179,000 hectares and serving a population of about 730,000.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is the specialist department of the County Council, their main aim is to reduce the risks of people in West Sussex being killed or seriously injured.

Crimestoppers
Crimestoppers is an independent charity working to fight crime.

Neighbourhood Watch
Neighbourhood Watch is a non-profit organisation dedicated at both a local and a national level to help prevent crime, assist the police in detecting crime, reduce the fear of crime, improve police/community liaison and increase community safety.
North Sussex Search Team (part of Sussex Neighbourhood Watch Search) Sussex Neighbourhood Watch Search Team - North has been providing a service to the community of Sussex since its formation in 2006. The main function of the Team is to assist Sussex Police in searching for vulnerable missing persons (such as children and the elderly), and property which may be crucial to a Police enquiry.
Safer Sussex Roads Partnership
Throughout Sussex, conscientious road users - whether they be car drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists or pedestrians are working together to reduce the casualty levels on our roads. Some of this reduction is also due to the work of the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (the SSRP), which is funded by a central Government grant to the three local highway authorities and other partners in Sussex.

ICVA (Independent Custody Visiting Association)
The ICVA is a voluntary organisation that promotes the custody visiting process nationally, through advocacy, training, publicity and ongoing support to all involved in the process.

East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership
The Safer Communities Partnership brings together all local agencies involved in community safety and substance abuse and together work to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.
The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 requires local responder bodies to co-operate in preparing for and responding to emergencies through a Local Resilience Forum Plan. Sussex has always recognised the importance of multi-agency working and has addressed this for many years by engaging in a range of formal and informal groups and networks. These now operate under the Sussex Resilience Forum.
The Home Office
The Home Office is the lead government department for immigration and passports, drugs policy, counter-terrorism and police.

SALC (Sussex Association of Local Councils)
SALC represents the interests of its 311 member towns and parish councils across East and West Sussex and Surrey through affiliation to the National Association of Local Councils [NALC]
NFU (National Farmers Union)
The NFU represents the farmers and growers of England and Wales. It's central objective is to promote successful and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture, while ensuring the long term viability of rural communities.

CLA (Country Land and Business Association)
The CLA is the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales.

Each month, Crimewatch reconstructs the country's most high-profile cases and tackles some of the toughest cases that have remained unsolved for years.

The Old Police Cells Museum
The Old Police Cells Museum for Sussex Police is housed in the basement of Brighton Town Hall. It offers visitors a unique insight into the history of Sussex Police.
Sussex Police Authority works closely with a number of key partners, nationally and locally to ensure the best all round approach to policing in Sussex is taken.
Local Strategic Partnerships (LSP) bring together different parts of the local community - public services, local businesses, community groups, voluntary sector organisations and local people.
LSPs help organisations and individuals work together in a co-ordinated way to plan local services, tackle the issues that matter to local people and improve quality of life in Sussex.
