Ms Emma Daniel

Emma Daniel joined the Authority as an independent member in December 2008. She has a degree in law and further qualifications in voluntary sector management and has a long history of voluntary and community sector involvement from hospital visiting and fundraising for the Anti-Slavery League as a child through to running anti-racism campaigns at university.
She became chief executive of a regional charity in supported housing policy at 26 and chief executive of a national housing policy charity at 29. She has also had Board involvement in charities, including taking the chair of a mental health service user charity. Her professional interests particularly lie in service user involvement, mental health, substance misuse, anti-racism, and domestic violence issues.
