Alan Price

Alan Price, a solicitor who lives in Worthing was appointed to the Sussex Police Authority as a Magistrate Member in December 2005. He was reappointed as Independent Member in 2008 following changes to police authority membership requirements which abolished the magistrate member category. He also represents the Authority on Police Appeals Tribunals.
Alan, a Western Bench magistrate appointed in 1992, was formerly company secretary of Y J Lovell Holdings plc, now the Montpellier Group, a major international construction and property group. He is honorary company secretary of Victim Support Sussex and a former non-executive director of Stonham Housing Association, one of the largest providers of housing care and support in the country.
He has lived in Worthing since becoming a solicitor in 1970 and is married with two children. Once a very active member of the town's hockey club, he has now turned his attention to golfing at Worthing GC.
